The Glenville neighborhood is home to over 25,000 Clevelanders. Annexed to Cleveland in the early 1900s, Glenville experienced rapid residential and commercial development between 1900 and 1930 when the neighborhood's stores and other establishments earned it the title of Cleveland's "Gold Coast."

Over the past 20 years Glenville's residents benefited from the development of the East Side Market, Glenville Plaza, and the North Park Place hosing subdivision.
